Crossing the Tygart River into downtown Elkins, the first night run of the Polar Express excursions returns to Elkins from Belington under the guidance of Western Maryland FP7 No. 243.

Climbing into the S curve outside near Bowden, the Tygart Flyer and its near full train of passengers enjoy the fall foliage on their four hour excursion through beautiful Appalachia.

Passing a rock cut along Poe Run Road, the afternoon Tygart Flyer climbs out of Elkins during the first fall color of the season.

Crossing over the Tygart Valley River and arriving at the Elkins Depot, the WVC's New "Tygart Flyer" will depart later in the morning for a trip over the scenic former Western Maryland main.
